The Powell Hotel has entrances on both Cyril Magnin St, the official address, and on Powell Street, the "real" entrance. This hotel is just a few steps from the Powell Street BART and the Powell and Mason Cable Car Turn-around. It is a very convenient location but does tend to be a bit nosier. We had a very nice corner room so there was nice ventilation (ear plugs recommended with the windows open). In spite of the noise we enjoyed this hotel and plan to stay there again. The location was wonderful, the room was very nice, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. A multi-day MUNI pass can be purchased just outside at the Cable Car Turn-around which makes it easy to get ?home? at night; just take a Powell car to the end of the line!
